Design Methods

Design methods
The overall outcome of this brief was to create a library of 10 textures this was to coincided with our 3D project and allow us to texture our 3D model as well as progress my skills in texture making.
I feel that overall this project worked extremely well I have made ten pleasing textures and have even used 6 of them to texture my street model. However I feel that texturing is something that I do not enjoy as a form of design. I learnt how I take for granted all the things around me and am beginning to see how things in the world is textured and how you could create them within Photoshop.
I feel that I did very well with creating and developing the textures I used on my street and I found in depths ways of making these textures really stand out by not only using Photoshop but also when dragging the image into 3D max I found I can give it a real textured feel to make it more realistic.
However I feel that after creating these 6 very developed textures and using them I didn’t take any time to actually develop my other textures I feel that next time I would take the time to develop all textures I create not just the ones I planned to use.
In conclusion I feel that this project proved to be a learning curve, I’ve also discovered I like working that units coincide with each other and find that I can work more productively towards both project when they are linked in some way.
